مؤشر H (H-Index)
مقياس يجمع بين إنتاجية الباحث أو المؤسسة وتأثير استشهاداتها. مؤشر H يساوي 50 يعني أن 50 ورقة بحثية استُشهد بكل منها 50 مرة على الأقل.
اقترح الفيزيائي خورخي هيرش مؤشر H عام 2005، وهو رقم واحد يعكس كمية وجودة منشورات الباحث أو المؤسسة معًا. فمؤشر H يساوي h يعني أن h ورقة بحثية استُشهد بكل منها h مرة على الأقل. ورغم استخدامه الواسع في الأوساط الأكاديمية لتقييم التأثير البحثي، فإن له محدودياته: فهو يميل لصالح الباحثين الراسخين، ويتفاوت بشدة بين التخصصات، ولا يمكن أن ينخفض خلال المسيرة المهنية.
