التدريب العملي (Internship)
تدريب عملي مؤقت، مدفوع الأجر أو غير مدفوع، يكتسب فيه الطلاب خبرة مهنية في مجال دراستهم.
التدريب العملي خبرات عمل منظمة — تستمر عادة 8-12 أسبوعًا خلال الصيف أو بدوام جزئي أثناء العام الأكاديمي — تربط التعلم الأكاديمي بالممارسة المهنية. وتُدير صناعات كالخدمات المصرفية الاستثمارية والاستشارات والتكنولوجيا والإعلام برامج تدريب تنافسية للغاية تُعد قنوات توظيف رئيسية للمناصب الدائمة. وقد أصبح التدريب المدفوع الأجر معيارًا في صناعات كثيرة، رغم استمرار التدريب غير المدفوع في قطاعات كالإعلام والمنظمات غير الربحية والحكومة. وتقدم جامعات كثيرة الآن ساعات معتمدة أكاديمية للتدريب العملي، وتشترط بعض البرامج التدريب كمتطلب للتخرج.
