This tool compares how universities are ranked across different ranking systems (QS, THE, ARWU, UniRanks). It helps identify discrepancies and consensus in rankings, showing where different methodologies agree or diverge on university positions.
Each ranking uses different methodologies: QS emphasizes academic and employer reputation surveys, THE focuses on teaching environment and research impact, and ARWU (Shanghai) prioritizes Nobel laureates, highly-cited researchers, and Nature/Science publications. These methodological differences lead to different rankings for the same university.
Large discrepancies between rankings often indicate that a university excels in areas emphasized by one methodology but not another. For example, a university strong in employer reputation may rank higher in QS than ARWU. Looking at multiple rankings provides a more balanced view of university quality.
