The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme is a two-year pre-university curriculum recognized by universities in over 150 countries. Students take six subjects across language, social studies, sciences, and mathematics, plus complete a 4,000-word Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge course, and Creativity/Activity/Service requirements. The IB diploma is scored out of 45 points (42 for subjects + 3 for EE/TOK), with 24 needed to pass. The IB is widely regarded as more holistic and demanding than single-country curricula.
