अंतरराष्ट्रीय विविधता सूचकांक किसी विश्वविद्यालय की वैश्विक अपील और बहुसांस्कृतिक वातावरण का आकलन करने के लिए अंतरराष्ट्रीय छात्रों और अंतरराष्ट्रीय संकाय के प्रतिशत को जोड़ता है। QS इन दो संकेतकों (प्रत्येक को 5%) को अपने कुल रैंकिंग भार का 10% आवंटित करता है। अंग्रेज़ीभाषी देशों और वैश्विक केंद्रों में विश्वविद्यालय सबसे अधिक स्कोर करते हैं, जबकि भाषा बाधाओं या प्रतिबंधात्मक वीज़ा नीतियों वाले देशों के संस्थान मज़बूत शैक्षणिक कार्यक्रमों के बावजूद कम स्कोर कर सकते हैं।
