📐 Standardized Testing

SAT

Scholastic Assessment Test — a standardized exam widely used for U.S. college admissions, testing reading, writing, and math. Scored on a 400-1600 scale.

The SAT is a standardized college admissions test administered by the College Board, testing evidence-based reading and writing (200-800) and math (200-800) for a combined score of 400-1600. The test transitioned to a fully digital format in 2024, becoming shorter and adaptive. While the SAT remains widely used, a growing number of universities have adopted test-optional or test-free policies, particularly since the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted testing access.
