📝 Admissions & Applications

Transfer Admission

The process of applying to a new university after beginning studies at another institution. Transfer students typically need college transcripts and a minimum GPA.

Transfer admission allows students who have completed coursework at one institution to apply for admission at another, bringing their earned credits with them. Transfer applicants typically submit college transcripts, a statement explaining their motivation for transferring, and professor recommendations. While some elite universities accept fewer than 5% of transfer applicants, community college-to-university transfer pathways are well-established in many countries, particularly through articulation agreements.
