النظام الأوروبي لنقل وتراكم الساعات المعتمدة — نظام موحد لمقارنة عبء العمل الطلابي بين الجامعات الأوروبية. يعادل العام الواحد 60 ساعة ECTS.
نظام ECTS هو إطار الساعات المعتمدة المعياري المستخدم في منطقة التعليم العالي الأوروبية، ويتيح الاعتراف بالساعات وتنقل الطلاب بين جامعات 49 دولة. وتمثل ساعة ECTS الواحدة 25-30 ساعة من عبء عمل الطالب، ويعادل العام الأكاديمي الكامل 60 ساعة ECTS (نحو 1,500-1,800 ساعة). وتتطلب درجة البكالوريوس 180-240 ساعة ECTS، وتتطلب درجة الماجستير 60-120 ساعة. وقد طُوِّر نظام ECTS كجزء من عملية بولونيا وأصبح العملة العالمية للساعات الأكاديمية في أوروبا.
