مكافأة مالية للطلاب تُمنح بناءً على الجدارة الأكاديمية أو القدرة الرياضية أو معايير أخرى، ولا تتطلب سدادًا.
المنح الدراسية مساعدات مالية مجانية تخفض تكلفة التعليم دون الحاجة إلى السداد، وهو ما يميزها عن القروض. وتشمل الأنواع منحًا قائمة على الجدارة (التحصيل الأكاديمي)، ومنحًا قائمة على الحاجة (الظروف المالية)، ومنحًا رياضية، ومنحًا قائمة على الهوية (التراث أو مجال الدراسة أو المشاركة المجتمعية). وتتراوح المصادر من الجامعات نفسها إلى مؤسسات خاصة وشركات وبرامج حكومية. والمنح الكاملة التي تغطي الرسوم الدراسية والسكن والطعام والنفقات نادرة وتنافسية للغاية، بينما المنح الجزئية التي تغطي جزءًا من التكاليف أكثر شيوعًا. وينبغي للطلاب الدوليين ملاحظة أن توافر المنح يتفاوت بشدة حسب الدولة والمؤسسة.
