European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) यूरोपीय उच्च शिक्षा क्षेत्र (EHEA) में उपयोग किया जाने वाला मानक क्रेडिट ढांचा है, जो 49 देशों में विश्वविद्यालयों के बीच क्रेडिट पहचान और छात्र गतिशीलता को सक्षम बनाता है। एक ECTS क्रेडिट 25-30 घंटे के छात्र कार्यभार का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है, और एक पूर्ण शैक्षणिक वर्ष 60 ECTS (लगभग 1,500-1,800 घंटे) के बराबर होता है। बैचलर डिग्री के लिए 180-240 ECTS और मास्टर डिग्री के लिए 60-120 ECTS आवश्यक हैं। ECTS को बोलोन्या प्रक्रिया के हिस्से के रूप में विकसित किया गया था और यह यूरोप में शैक्षणिक क्रेडिट की सार्वभौमिक मुद्रा बन गया है।
