Higher Education in Togo

Togo's higher education is anchored by the University of Lomé (1970), the main public institution, alongside a small number of private and technical colleges forming a total of around 7 accredited providers. The Conseil Africain et Malgache pour l'Enseignement Supérieur (CAMES) provides regional accreditation oversight. French is the sole language of instruction, and the government has pursued reforms to improve graduate employment outcomes and reduce student-to-faculty ratios.
