العملية التي تُقبل بها درجة جامعية حاصل عليها الطالب في بلد ما كصالحة في بلد آخر.
الاعتراف بالدرجة (أو تقييم المؤهلات) عملية إثبات تكافؤ المؤهلات الأكاديمية بين أنظمة تعليمية وطنية مختلفة. وتُقيِّم منظمات مثل WES (خدمات التعليم العالمية)، وENIC البريطانية، وanabin (ألمانيا) المؤهلات الأجنبية لأغراض التوظيف أو مواصلة الدراسة أو الترخيص المهني. وتوفر اتفاقية لشبونة للاعتراف (1997) إطارًا للاعتراف بالدرجات عبر 55 دولة. وتنشأ تحديات الاعتراف من تفاوت مدد الدرجات وأنظمة التقدير وهياكل البرامج — إذ قد لا تُعتبر درجة بكالوريوس أوروبية مدتها 3 سنوات معادلة لبكالوريوس أمريكي مدته 4 سنوات في بعض السياقات.
