Higher Education in Benin

Benin's higher education system has grown to over 30 institutions following significant private sector expansion since the 2000s. The University of Abomey-Calavi (1970) is the main public institution and one of West Africa's larger universities. The Autorité Nationale d'Assurance Qualité de l'Enseignement Supérieur oversees accreditation, with French as the language of instruction.
