Higher Education in Bhutan
Bhutan's higher education system has expanded from a single institution to around 13 colleges and institutes, coordinated by the Royal University of Bhutan (RUB), established in 2003 as an affiliating university. Instruction is in English, and the system emphasises Bhutan's Gross National Happiness philosophy in curricula. International partnerships, especially with India, provide important academic linkages.
