Higher Education in Mali

Mali's higher education sector is small and largely concentrated in Bamako, with the University of Social Sciences and Management of Bamako and several specialised grandes écoles forming the core of public provision. Recurring political instability and underfunding have constrained quality and access. French is the medium of instruction, inherited from the French colonial higher education model.
