Higher Education in Tunisia
Tunisia has one of North Africa's largest higher education systems, with around 258 institutions including 13 universities and a network of higher institutes, enrolling over 350,000 students under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The University of Tunis El Manar and the University of Sfax are among the most prominent institutions. Instruction is primarily in Arabic and French depending on field, and Tunisia's high tertiary enrolment rate is a regional standout, though graduate unemployment remains a structural challenge.
