Higher Education in Kosovo

Kosovo declared independence in 2008 and its higher education system remains small, centered on the University of Pristina as the main public institution, alongside a handful of private universities. The Higher Education Accreditation Agency of Kosovo oversees quality assurance. Instruction is primarily in Albanian, with Serbian-medium programs available at the University of Pristina in Mitrovica.
