Higher Education in Zambia
Zambia's higher education is overseen by the Higher Education Authority (HEA), which accredits around 50 institutions including the University of Zambia (UNZA, 1965) and Copperbelt University (CBU) as the main public research universities. Private universities and church-affiliated institutions have expanded substantially since the 2000s. Instruction is in English, and the government has pursued higher education expansion as part of its Vision 2030 economic development agenda.
