Higher Education in Poland
Poland operates one of Central Europe's largest higher education systems, with over 300 public and private universities regulated by the Polish Accreditation Committee (PKA) and the Ministry of Education and Science. The Jagiellonian University in Kraków (founded 1364), Warsaw University of Technology, and University of Warsaw are the leading research institutions, all integrated into the Bologna Framework. Instruction is predominantly in Polish, with a rapidly expanding range of English-taught programmes attracting growing numbers of international students, particularly from Ukraine and South and Southeast Asia.
